COLOUR DESIGN

The coin’s coloured reverse features the Emperor’s grand ship and imperial tent, set against the sweeping desert landscape of Arrakis. Highlighted in the foreground is the desert mouse known as Muad'Dib—an evolved kangaroo mouse native to Arrakis, revered by the Fremen for its adaptability and spiritual symbolism. Included in the design is the 'DUNE' logo and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.

ABOUT THE PERTH MINT

The Perth Mint opened in 1899 as the British Royal Mint's 3rd branch in Australia. The historical Hay Street location handled gold refining until moving to a modern facility in April 1990. Ownership of the mint was transferred to the Government of Western Australia in July of 1970.
